The IS5000 is the flagship of Projecta's Intelli-Start range — a workshop-tough jump starter designed to start the largest vehicles and keep doing it, again and again, without returning to a power point. A tough steel chassis and aluminium housing with a chemical-resistant rubber overmould stand up to daily workshop and field use, and at 13.5kg with an integrated handle and concealed cable storage it stays genuinely portable.

Projecta's patented Rapid Recharge Technology (RRT) replenishes the discharged energy in around 40 seconds simply by leaving the clamps connected to the running vehicle, so the unit is ready for the next start. A large colour LCD screen shows battery voltage and diagnostic information, and automatic voltage detection selects 12V or 24V as soon as the clamps are connected. The supplied 230V docking station keeps the unit charged and ready in storage.

Built on Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry for safety and long service life — up to 2000 charge cycles, around four times that of conventional lithium jump starters.
