Turning the key off disconnects the battery, preventing theft and protecting against short circuits while the vehicle is parked or being worked on. It handles 1000A for up to 10 seconds at 12V (500A at 24V) for starting, and 150A continuously with 35mm² cable and ring terminals.

Mounts in a 24mm hole. Not designed for marine use. A spare key (Hella 4652) is available separately.
