The solenoid's fixed contacts carry full starter current once the plunger closes. Over time they burn and pit, causing a click with no crank or intermittent starting. Replacing them restores solid current flow to the starter motor. Suits small frame Denso starter solenoids used by Chrysler, Isuzu, Kubota and GM.

The pair contains one straight and one right contact, each 2.5mm thick. Check the shape and terminal layout against the original before fitting, and consider replacing the plunger at the same time. Disconnect the battery first.
