Gates V-belts use a fibre-loaded neoprene (polychloroprene) compound for heat and wear resistance, moulded notches that reduce bending stress around small pulleys, and form-ground sidewalls for a precise fit in the pulley groove. In the Gates size code, 13A is the 13mm top width and 1255 is the 1255mm belt length.
